In Stars 06:02
Explosive Expendable Elusive Unavailable Is how I feel when I'm away From those clear eyes and that deep stare And when I can't take this world alone It's like you feel it because that's always when you come along I see your eyes Stars explode inside my mind I see your eyes won't look away I feel your mind wrapped in stars around my arms I feel your mind and I lift away I feel trapped inside this mortal world without you I just want to feel the flesh you're dressed in Pressed against me firm Caress me Feel our bodies intertwine Let our spirits weave the dance of time It's how I feel when I'm away From those clear eyes and that deep stare And when I can't take this world alone It's like you feel it because that's always when you come along I see your eyes Stars explode inside my mind I see your eyes won't look away I feel your mind wrapped in stars around my arms I feel your mind and I lift away

Milk 04:36
I peer deep into the darkness at times I look close at decay Sometimes the easiest disguise Is to just nakedly embrace the pain CHORUS A: I can't sleep at night Without the way you make me feel I don't dream quite right Without your warmth so near I know these sweet, little tastes of relief Come baring gifts of waste and deceit But it feel so good right now It feels so good CHORUS A CHORUS B: I need just a little bit Take one sip And hope to ease the pain I need just a little bit Take one sip And hope to fade away One drop of synthemesc One drop of vellocet One drop of drencrom and I let go of my mind One drop of synthemesc One drop of vellocet One drop of drencrom and I release my hold on time CHORUS B

Heavy Drone 09:31
This life we live is a heavy drone A web of frequencies on which we hang our bones If you look closely there's really nothing there Yet still we touch each other Still we're touching things ourselves Life's locked in the heavy drone When you move so fast all you feel is the heavy drone Life's lost in the heavy drone When you move so fast all you see is the heavy drone So how can we know our world with such limited tools Like ears and eyes that feed us lies amid such a very thin gruel We can't even see infra-red bands Tell me how is it we can pretend To know the stars and what they really are How could we ever know in this life? I found my breadth when I found death I found life's breath when I found death Wrapped up in a lullaby misplaced by time One kiss, one sigh, one chance to say goodbye And all there's really ever been is the moment we're in And that's now and now When scale and size betray our eyes and twist our mind We'll never find what truth could ever be But whose truth is it to see? What looks like a speck to one can be a universe to me And another gathers up those specks as flecks of dust And washes them onto a beach beside the sea For us eternity is split into moments of failure and wit But our perception gives it its own perspective to play with Life's lost in the heavy drone When you move so fast all you feel is the heavy drone Life's lost in the heavy drone When you move so fast all you feel is the drone

about

Kabuki Death was a short lived project I was involved with in November and December of 2011. It consisted of Taylor Ford on guitar, Mario Silva on drums and myself on bass and vocals. With the coming of 2012 Mario Silva and I left to form Magnetic Circus with Jason Kisch. Though Kabuki Death never performed the seeds of some interesting songs were planted in my mind where they began to grow and recently flower.

Only one of these songs, In Stars, was actually completed in any form during the course of the band and even here it is present mostly in structure and bass lines, making this essentially a solo composition inspired by the band Kabuki Death. Milk is a song that I wrote at the time of Kabuki Death that was later performed with Magnetic Circus but never recorded. Heavy Drone was a song in progress at the time of disbanding with only my bass melodies from the quieter central section making it into this new composition inspired by the direction the original songwriting process was heading. All guitar and keyboards recomposed by myself for this project. All drums recomposed by myself with inspiration from Mario Silva's original work on In Stars.
